Perth Personal Trainer Unstoppable Weight Loss Fitness Goal Setting

in Weight-loss

As a Perth personal trainer, I have seen many gym goers who are very motivated failed miserably when they tried to lose the excess weight with the best intention. Despite their best effort, there are still many who fail to achieve the elusive weight loss goal and get the lean tone body they want. So what is the problem? The truth is most people failed to set proper goals on what they want to achieve. When that happens, there is no detailed road map and plan to achieve the success. In fact, goal setting can be very powerful if it is done the right way. Here are the step-by-step guide for you to set your unstoppable weight loss goals.

Step 1: Step Specific and Measurable Goal
Always ask yourself what kind of body and shape you want to be and how much weight do you need to lose to attain that. When you know a specific number of kilograms you need to lose, then you can easily measure your progress or your success with that variable. Should that be a standalone variable to determine your success in terms of weight loss? Absolutely not. When it comes to weight loss, it is important that you look at the overall centimetres you lost from your tummy, waist, thighs and chest. This is due to the fact that you could be gaining some space-saving but heavier lean muscle initially that can displace the lighter but space-consuming fat mass from exercising. When that happens, the body can shrink in size but still weighs the same. So be sure to use centimetres off the body and weight loss as guides to measure your success.

Step 2: Set Exciting Goals
Set goals that excite you and gets you to freak out a little. If the goal is too easy, you will not pay attention to it and obviously not take any course of actions to achieve them. With an easy goal, you will not wake up every morning feeling excited about it and will soon forget you have a goal.

Step 3: Set Deadline
Is that an unrealistic goal? Probably not, if you set the right deadline. It would be certainly be unrealistic if you expect to lose 10 kilograms in a week which is also very unsafe. If you are aiming to lose 5 kilograms, you should be looking at losing it at a rate of .5 to 1 kilograms a week based on the recommended safe weight loss guidelines if you exercise. Always set goals by the week, month and year.

Step 4: Find Out Why You Want to Achieve Your Weight Loss Goals
If you cannot find out your deepest reasons why you want to lose the specific amount of weight you aim to lose, you will not have the best motivations and drive to achieve your weight loss goals and eventually get the lean and toned dream body that you want.

Step 5: Write Down Your Goals
Be sure to write down your goals on a paper and have it somewhere that you can see it every day. The point is to constantly manifest your dream body in your head and remind yourself that you are going to achieve that weight loss goals. If you can see yourself achieving the kind of body you want, you will be very motivated and take the necessary course of actions to achieve it.
